
There are 18 towers in BTD5. Some have to be unlocked through player progression, which will only come if you are logged into your account. Each tower has 8 possible upgrades, 4 in each track (the left and the right track). The first 2 upgrades on each side can be accessed no matter what. After that, you have to choose only one side to get the 3rd and 4th upgrades on. Only one of the 4th upgrades is an ability; all towers (except the banana farm) have an ability. Abilities appear as buttons at the bottom left that are used when clicked, and have a cooldown, or a timer that tells you when the ability can be used again.

- Long Range Darts (further vision)
- Enhanced Eyesight (further vision, detect camo)
- Spike-o-pult (converts to catapult. Same vision range, longer attack range. Each spike ball pops 18 bloons)
- Juggernaut (pops lead and does big damage to ceramic bloons)
- Sharp Shots (pops one extra bloon per dart)
- Razor Sharp Shots (pops 2 extra bloons per dart)
- Triple Darts (shoots 3 darts instead of one)
- Super Monkey Fan Club (Ability) (when used, converts up to 10 dart monkeys within radius to super monkeys for 15 seconds)

- Even Faster Shooting (shoots even faster)
- Tack Sprayer (shoots 16 tacks instead of 8)
- Ring of Fire (converts to fire sprayer)
- Extra Rang Tacks (shoots further)

- Blade Shooter (shoots blades instead of tacks)
- Blade Maelstorm (Ability): (when used, spiral of blades is released from tower)

- Full Metal Jacket (pops through 4 layers. Can pop lead and frozen bloons)
- Point Five Oh (pops through 7 layers)
- Deadly Precision (pops through 18 layers, enough to completely destroy one ceramic bloon)
- Cripple MOAB (shots temporarily immobilize moab-class bloons)
- Faster Firing (shoots faster)
- Night Vision Goggles (detect camo)
- Semi-Automatic Rifle (shoots 3x as fast)
- Supply Drop (Ability) (when used, drops crate of cash)

- Multi-Target (pops 7 bloons)
- Glaive Thrower (throw glaives instead of boomerangs)
- Glaive Riccochet (glaives hop from bloon to bloon)
- Glaive Lord (2 glaives circle tower at all times. Detects camo)
- Sonic Boom (pops frozen bloons)
- Red Hot ‘Rangs (pops lead bloons)
- Bionic Boomer (throws 2x faster)
- Turbo Charge (Ability) (when used, throws at super speed for 10 seconds)

- Ninja Discipline (longer range, faster speed)
- Sharp Shurikens (shurikens pop 4 bloons each)
- Double Shot (throws 2 instead of 1)
- Bloonjitsu (throws 5 instead of 2)
- Seeking Shuriken (shuriken chase down bloons)
- Distraction (bloons hit by shuriken will move temporarily away from exit)
- Flash Bomb (occasionally throws flash bomb that stuns bloons temporarily)
- Sabotage Supply Line (Ability) (when used, for 15 seconds, recent and new bloons move at half speed)

- Extra Range (longer range)
- Frag Bombs (each bomb shoots 8 fragments that also pop bloons)
- Cluster Bombs (fragments are now bombs)
- Bloon Impact (bloons hit are stunned temporarily)
- Bigger Bombs (larger blast area, more power)
- Missile Launcher (converts to missile launcher. Faster, longer range, more power)
- MOAB Mauler (does 10x damage on MOAB-class bloons)
- MOAB Assassin (Ability) (when used, instantly destroys MOAB-class bloons, or does 1000 damage to ZOMB bloons)

- Enhanced Freeze (larger freeze area, freeze effects last longer)
- Snap Freeze (bloons pop once before freezing)
- Arctic Wind (larger radius, bloons in radius move slower)
- Viral Frost (frozen bloons freeze other bloons that touch them)
- Permafrost (bloons move slower after thawing)
- Deep Freeze (freezes 2 layers instead of 1)
- Ice Shards (when frozen bloons pop, they send fragments that pop other bloons)
- Absolute Zero (Ability) (when used, freezes all bloons on screen, not including MOAB class bloons, for 4 seconds)

- Glue Soak (glues every layer of bloon)
- Corrosive Glue (glued bloons pop 1 layer every few seconds)
- Bloon Dissolver (glued bloons pop 2 layers per second)
- Bloon Liquefier (pops 1 layer before gluing, continues to pop 10 layers per second)
- Stickier Glue (glue lasts longer)
- Glue Splatter (hits 6 bloons at a time in stead of 1)
- Glue Hose (shoots more than 3x faster)
- Glue Striker (Ability) (when used, glues all bloons on screen)

- Aircraft Carrier (launches tons of small monkey ace pilots that shoot darts)
- Grape Shot (also sprays 4 grapes that also pop bloons)

- Monkey Pirates / MOAB Takedown (Ability) (when used grabs nearest MOAB bloon, excluding ZOMG (black MOAB), and destroys it instantly)

- Rapid Fire (shoots faster)

- Neva-Miss Targeting (darts chase down bloons)
- Spectre (drops bombs as well)
- Pineapple Present (drops pineapple bomb every 3 seconds)
- Spy Plane (detect camo)
- Operation: Dart Storm (shoots more darts)
- Ground Zero (Ability) drops single bomb that destroys all bloons on screen and does heavy damage to MOAB class bloons

- Laser Blasts (shoots lasers that can pop frozen bloons instead of darts)
- Plasma Blasts (shoots plasma that can also pop lead bloons instead of lasers)
- Sun God (shoots widespread rays of plasma, more powerful)
- Temple of the Monkey God (converts Sun God to massive temple. When upgraded, sacrifices (or gets rid of) all towers in Sun God’s radius, including other Sun Gods and Temples. Temple shoots HUGE powerful widespread rays, also equipped with whatever towers’ powers that were sacrificed (tack shooter will give temple blades, cannon will give temple missiles, for example. Tower upgrades do not matter. Ie. If you upgrade a tack shooter to ring of fire, it will still give blades. If it is not upgraded at all, it will still give blades.) DOES get rid of sacrificed towers’ abilities)
- Super Range (longer range)

- Robo-Monkey (monkey shoots from two individually-firing arm cannons)
- Technological Terror / Bloon Annihilation (Ability) (when used, destroys all bloons within radius, and does 1000 damage to MOAB class bloons within radius)

- Intense Magic (bolts are larger and more powerful)
- Lightning Bolt (lightning connects many bloons even out of range and is very powerful)
- Summon Whirlwind (makes occasional tornado that blows bloons away from exit but removes ice and glue)
- Tempest Tornado (tornado appears more often, is more larger and more powerful, blows bloons further away, and pops them once before blowing. Still removes ice and glue)
- Fireball (also shoots fire blast)
- Monkey Sense (detect camo)
- Dragon’s Breath (shoots endless short-range flame at nearby bloons, which is more powerful. Still shoots other effects)
- Summon Pheonix (Ability) (summons giant fire bird that flies in a circle for 20 seconds, raining fire on bloons)

- Monkey Beacon (all towers in village’s radius gets 15% boosted range)
- Jungle Drums (all towers in village’s radius gets 15% boosted speed)
- Monkey Town (all bloons popped by towers that are in the village’s radius get 50% more cash)
- High Energy Beacon (village now attacks bloons, and gives all towers in village’s radius 20% faster ability cooldowns
- Monkey Fort (all towers in village’s radius can pop 1 extra bloon per shot)
- Radar Scanner (grants camo detection to all towers in village’s radius)
- Monkey Intelligence Bureau (allows all towers in village’s radius to pop all types of bloons)
- M.I.B. Call to Arms (Ability) (when used, grants all towers in village’s radius Double attack speed and popping power)

- More Bananas (grows 6 bananas per round instead of 4)
- Banana Plantation (grows 13 bananas per round instead of 6)
- Banana Republic (grows 25 bananas per round instead of 13)
- Banana Research Facility (drops 10 boxes of bananas instead of bananas. Each box is worth 200 cash)
- Long Life Bananas (bananas last 20 seconds instead of 10)
- Valuable Bananas (each banana / box is worht 50% more cash, so bananas are now worth 20 and boxes are now worth 300)
- Monkey Bank (generates 450 stored cash instead of bananas. Can contain up to $5000 which can be withdrawn at any time, but cash will earn 10% interest while stored (so you want to leave it stored!))
- Banana Investments Advisory (bank numbers get upgraded to… Generating 1000 each round, containing up to 20,000, and 20% interest)

- Increased Accuracy (more accurate)
- Bigger Blast (larger bomb explosions)
- Bloon Buster (pops 2 layers per bloon per explosion)
- The Big One (huge explosions, pops 5 layers instead of 2)
- Rapid Reload (faster fire)
- Burny Stuff (continues to pop bloons every 2 seconds after explosion for 6 seconds)
- Signal Flare (removes camo status from bloons hit, so any tower can pop them)
- Artillery Battery (shoots 3x as fast) / Pop and Awe (Ability) (drops bombs over whole screen for 5 seconds. Bombs pop 1 layer per bloon each second. Immobilizes all bloons during that time, but doesn’t effect MOAB class at all)

- Focused Firing (more accurate)
- Faster Barrel Spin (faster shooting)
- Laser Cannon (shoots laser instead. Pops 13 bloons each, has increased speed, and can pop frozen bloons)
- Ray of Doom (consistent laser, more powerful)
- Powerful Darts (darts are faster and pop 3 bloon each)
- Depleted Bloontonium Darts (can pop any type of bloon)
- Hydra Rocket Pods (shoots missiles instead, can still pop black bloons. More powerful)
- Bloon Area Denial System / Rocket Storm (Ability) (when used shoots a missile to destroy the closest 100 bloons)

- Bigger Stacks (piles have 10 spikes instead of 5)
- White Hot Spikes (can pop lead)
- Spiked Ball Factory (drops spike balls with 10 spikes instead of 10 tacks. Does extra damage to ceramic bloons)
- Spiked Mines (spike balls explode when they lose all their spikes)
- Faster Production (generates faster)
- Even Faster Production (generates even faster)
- MOAB-SHREDR (tacks do big damage to MOAB class bloons)
- Spike Storm (Ability) (when used, spreads blanket of spikes across whole track)

- Barbed Darts (pops 3 bloons each)
- Advanced Intel (attack any bloon in range of any tower)
- Submerge and Support (set sub to “submerge” to turn it into a support tower. Lets other towers see camo bloons within the sub’s radius)
- Bloontonium Reactor (when submerged, pops bloons in radius rapidly. Also reduces nearby water towers’ ability cooldowns by 15%)
- Twin Guns (shoots from 2 cannons instead of 1, doubling the speed)
- Airburst Darts (once dart hits a bloon, it spits into 3 randomly sprayed darts)
- Ballistic Missile (sends missile that explodes and effects bloons near impact)
- Fire Strike Capability (Ability) (when used sends powerful missile that destroys up to an entire ZOMG bloon or many smaller bloons. 1 minute cooldown)
